Fayum

The project is part of a larger research project, the UCLA / RUG (Groningen University, The Netherlands) Fayum project, under direction of Dr. Willeke Wendrich and Dr. René Cappers. The model is a highly accurate 3D terrain map showing geological features as well as settlements, field systems, and shore lines from prehistory to late the present. As the UCLA/RUG Fayum project progresses, the model will be updated to reflect the latest finds.
